On Wednesday, The Govt. announced a hike of 5 per cent Dearness Allowance for C. G, Employees and pensioners.

Diwali Gift for C.G. employees: Cabinet approved a hike of 5 % Dearness Allowance for central govt. Employees. announced by the centre on Wednesday.
The Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced after a cabinet meeting. The Hiked DA will be effective from July 2019 and it is a major relief for C. G.Employees who will now be entitled to an additional five per cent Dearness Allowance.
The cost of hiked DA will be Rs. 15909.35 crore annually and Rs. 10606.20 crore in the Financial year 2019-20 (for a period of 8 months from July to February) it is a Diwali Gift for over 49.93 lakh central govt. employees and 65.26 lakh Pensioners.
The additional financial implication on account of this increase in DA estimated Rs. 8590.20 crore per annum and Rs. 5726.80 crore in the current financial year of 2019-20.
The hiked DA and its arrear will be paid with the salary of October 2019.
